Sammy and FreytMy mother says that I grew up in the trees. Now, I’m not sure of that statement’s validity, but I do know that I certainly spent a lot of time in them. In fact, my first memory is a panoramic view of the canopy of Okanota Forest from the top branch of the large hickory in my backyard. I think I will always remember that: the sun disappearing in the horizon, kissing the treetops in a splash of orange and purple and illuminating the bright autumn leaves.

 I don’t know about you, but I love English history! Well, actually, you probably dislike history in general, since most people do, but I’m fascinated by it. So, you can imagine how excited I was to be traveling to England in the summer of 2005. People to People, the organization I was traveling through, was sending forty kids from Lancaster to the United Kingdom as a student ambassador delegation. I'm really just making this journal to try out these new skin things. I guess I'll update people on my life, not that there's been much exciting stuff going on.

First of all... SUMMER!!!!! :dance: :w00t: FREEDOM! but I'm starting to get bored already. I've been hanging with friends a lot (albeit, not you...) but it doesn't feel like summer. Maybe it's the weather? I hope the weather is nice next week though, when I'm in...

Florida! I'm so excited to get out of Lancaster County! It's so boring here, and, generally, it smells. I'm going to Orlando for my brother's wrestling tournament, but we're only going the for a day. the rest of the time we're going to Disney World (probably the coolest place on earth), Discovery Cove, Seaworld, and I'm pretty sure we're going deep sea fishing one time. And the best part is that since my brother has a wrestling tournament the whole time, he won't be there! And the day after I get back is the start of the...

Celtic Fling! I'm so excited to work there. I had an orientation last Saturday. But more so than the Celtic Fling, I'm excited for the Renn Faire! Oh my god, I can barely hold it in! Thing is, I still need to come up with a character name and back story, so that's everyone's homework: try to think of one. I have an orientation for that on July 12th.

Also, I just reread :love: The Amulet of Samarkand. :love: AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! BEST BOOK OF MY LIFE! IN THE WORLD! I love Bartimaeus so much I can't stand it! He is my hero, and so is Nathaniel, and Kitty, and Mrs. Underwood, and... *breaks down into tears of love and anxiety* I have to read the next two again now, but I don't own them. I think Kim does... If you haven't read them, DO IT NOW!!!!!! If you have, READ THEM AGAIN!!!!! Before they're banneed for being so amazing! :heart:
