Life of a Tree

Entwined with the earth,
Time passes slowly, slowly.
Waiting for the end,
I have seen enough of this world.

Time passes slowly, slowly.
Seasons change, people die.
I have seen enough of this world
By simply sitting, waiting, watching.

Seasons change people die,
But I have endured, lost in time.
By simply sitting, watching, thinking,
I have learned a secret.

I have endured, lost in space,
Nothing knowing me, me on this mountain
But I have learned a secret:
Life is nothing without death.

Nothing knows me on this mountain
But I am forever here, never leaving.
Life is nothing without death
Because how can it be savored?

I am never leaving, forever living
And it saddens me,
Because how can life be savored
If I know it will never end?

It saddens me
To think of tomorrow.
I know life will never end,
So nothing is unique.

Thinking of tomorrow
Is so melancholy.
Nothing is ever unique
If I cannot think of today.

My life is so melancholy.
Everything will happen again,
So I cannot think of today,
Because it means nothing.

Everything will happen again;
I will always laugh again, feel again, love again.
Today means nothing
If there is always tomorrow.

Pantoum. It's supposed to be from the perspective of a tree, if you didn't get it from the title. I know it's ten stanzas and doesnt end with lines from the first stanza but i couldn't do it, so I'll just take the point cut. I'm actually very proud of this, especially the last 6 stanzas.
What do you think yyd55 (thats your name from now on)?

no man can truthfully say he does not fear death, but one who can face death for honor, duty and the sake of his countrymen...that is a hero.

9 stanzas :pointr: 10 stanzas
Last stanza contains 2 lines from first stanza :pointr: Last stanza is its own stanza containing nothing from the first
Your pantoum really makes one think, and that's great.
Kinda funny but interesting that you wrote this from a tree's PoV [point of view].
By the time you'll probably read this...I likely gave you my actually feedback in class/school. :P

Wow, I totally love this. It's very pensive and profound! And who cares about a point cut if that not what you want your poem to end up being! :D
